A thin foam material designed for use in advanced devices such as smartphones. Featuring a closed-cell structure, it offers excellent shock absorption and flexibility, and is widely used as cushioning for speakers and camera modules, and as a spacer for LCD/OLED modules.

A material with high sealing property

The sealing property of a sealer such as tape is greatly affected, not only by the properties of the material substance, but also by its close physical contact with the uneven surface of the adherend. A material with high flexibility eliminates gaps with the adherend and realizes high sealing performance.

Sealing property realized by foam

Resin films and fiber materials such as non-woven fabrics may leave small gaps because of their own rigidity (hardness). Sekisui foam is thin, but has excellent flexibility to seal uneven surfaces. It is used for various applications, including sealing (waterproof or dustproof) tape in electronic devices.
